Ashes Cricket 2009 is the highly anticipated cricketing video game which contains an Ashes mode. We reported earlier that a demo of the game had gone live and was available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Now we have word that Ashes Cricket 2009 for the Xbox 360 will release this Friday, August 7, 2009 in India. Cricket fans and gamers can feel the excitement of the prestigious series on the Xbox 360.
“Cricket is a religion in India and now its devotees can follow the game passionately on Xbox 360,” remarked an enthusiastic Ashim Mathur, National Marketing Manager of Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft India. “Xbox 360 gives gamers the experience of being real cricketers by competing with the likes of Ricky Ponting, Kevin Pietersen, Michael Clarke etc on virtual fields.”
Ashes Cricket 2009 features 8 international stadiums from all over the world, and Xbox 360 gamers can now play ODIs, 20 over matches, and test matches, all in stunning realism on their consoles from Microsoft. The game even features online play modes, allowing Xbox 360 owners to connect to over 20 million people on Xbox Live.
Ashes Cricket 2009 is developed by Transmission Games and published by Codemasters. The game will be distributed in India by E-Xpress Interactive and will be available for the Xbox 360 platform at retail stores from all key cities for a price of Rs. 1,999.
